Dr. Bayman is the study biostatistician contributing to design of the study and analysis of the data.

Dr. Bayman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics with a secondary appointment in the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Iowa. Her research is focused on Bayesian statistics, multi-center clinical trials, and prediction models of chronic pain. Prior to assuming the role of Deputy Director of the Clinical Trials Statistical and Data Management Center (CTSDMC), she worked in the Department of Anesthesia as a faculty member for 10 years. Dr. Bayman serves as the CTSDMC lead for the FM-TIPS trial. Dr. Bayman is an elected member of the Association of University Anesthesiologists and serves on the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Committee on Research. She served as an ad-hoc member of the Clinical Study Consortium Review Panel for the NIDDK. She is the Assistant Editor of Statistics in Anesthesia & Analgesia and on the editorial board of Neurosurgery. Dr. Bayman has published extensively in the areas of postsurgical pain, Bayesian outlier detection, Bayesian clinical trial designs, and general multicenter clinical trial design.
