Dana Dailey, PT, PhD, Assistant Research Scientist

Dr. Daily leads the Site Team to develop study procedures, procedures, and train clinic sites.

Dr. Dailey is an Assistant Research Scientist in the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Department at the University of Iowa and Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy Department at St. Ambrose University. Her current research focus is in chronic pain and fatigue, TENS, pain biomarkers and non-pharmaceutical strategies for chronic pain treatment. She has  been a physical therapist specializing in the treatment of patient with acute and chronic pain for over 30 years.

She has presented research at national conferences in physical therapy through educational sessions, platform presentations and poster presentations. She recently won the 2020 Poster Presentation Award from the Orthopaedic Academy of the American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections meeting for her work regarding the use of TENS in women with fibromyalgia. She currently serves as research chair for the Pain Special Interest Group (SIG) for the Orthopaedic Section of the APTA. She is a past present of the Pain SIG.
