Michele Costigan, RN, BSN, CCRC
Ms. Costigan assists with development of the study protocol, procedures, and implementation.
Michele Costigan is a Senior Protocol Coordinator at the Clinical Trials Statistical and Data Management Center with over 25 years of experience in clinical trials. Ms. Costigan has a background in nursing and has a BSN degree. She is ACRP-certified as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC). As a Lead Protocol Coordinator, Ms. Costigan provides direct oversight of all protocol coordination and monitoring activities for the studies managed by the CTSDMC. She is experienced in developing monitoring and safety plans as well as MedDRA for coding adverse events and WHO drug coding. She has worked on numerous adult and pediatric clinical trials in the areas of infectious disease, cardiology, and neurology. Her current research work includes studies in the Network for Excellence in Neuroscience Clinical Trials (NeuroNEXT) and the Fibromyalgia TENS in Physical Therapy: An Embedded Pragmatic Trial (FM-TIPS). She will conduct protocol coordination and training activities for the FM-TIPS trial.
